Starboard

Repost messages that collect enough reactions into a channel of their own.

What it does

When a message collects at least the number of reactions you set, with the emoji you set, Modora reposts it as an embed in your starboard channel.

The original message stays where it is. The starboard entry links back to it.

Setup

01

Turn the module on

Open Starboard in your server dashboard and switch it on in the page header.

02

Pick a channel

Choose where starred messages are posted. Modora needs to be able to post there.

03

Set the emoji and the threshold

Then save with the bar at the bottom of the page.

Essentials

Starboard Channel

Where starred messages will be posted.

Minimum Reactions

Reactions needed for a message to be starred.

Trigger Emoji

The emoji the bot watches for.

Behaviour and display

Four switches, all in the advanced part of the page.

Allow Self-Starring

Users can star their own messages.

Bots Can Star

Bot reactions count toward the threshold.

Remove on Unstar

Remove the entry again if the reactions drop below the minimum.

Show Star Count

Display the reaction count in the starboard embed.

Filters

Three lists that narrow down where and by whom starring counts.

Ignored Channels

Messages from these channels will not be starred.

Ignored Roles

Stars from members with these roles do not count.

Required Roles

Only members with these roles can star messages. Leave empty to allow everyone.

Managing entries

The module page lists what made it to the board and lets you delete an entry. It also charts the starred messages per day and the most starred messages.

Tip

Add the channel itself to the ignored channels if you do not want starboard posts to end up on the board again.
