Question of the Day

Post a question in a channel, by hand or on a schedule, and let members suggest new ones.

What it does

QOTD posts a question in a channel you choose. You can post one yourself at any moment, or have one posted every day at a set time.

Questions come from a preset list, from questions your staff writes, or from suggestions members submit.

Setup

01

Turn the module on

Open QOTD in your server dashboard and switch it on in the page header.

02

Pick a default channel

This is where questions are posted when no channel is given.

03

Optionally pick a role to ping

That role is mentioned when a question is posted.

04

Choose manual or daily

Switch on daily auto-posting and set a time, or leave it off and post yourself. Save with the bar at the bottom.

Question sources

Preset questions are a shared list Modora maintains. Switch them off if you only want your own.

Custom questions are the ones your staff writes on the module page. You can also restrict which categories are used.

Suggestions

Members submit a question with /qotd suggest. Suggestions land on the module page, where you see who submitted them and their votes.

Staff approval

Each suggestion waits until someone on your team approves or rejects it.

Community voting

A suggestion is approved once its net votes reach the threshold you set.
