Minigames

Six channel games, each its own module with its own page and settings.

How the minigames work

Every minigame is a separate module. You switch it on, give it a channel, and it runs in that channel. They share nothing but the Minigames hub they are grouped under.

The games

Quiz

quiz

Post a question with a correct answer. Members answer in the chat; the answer command itself needs Manage Server.

Settings: channel, role to ping, preset and custom questions, answer mode, case sensitivity, daily posting time.

Guess the Flag

guess-flag

A flag is posted and members guess the country in the chat.

Settings: channel, time limit, hint delays, difficulty, region filter, delays after a correct answer or a timeout, streak bonus, automatic scheduling.

Guess the Number

guess-number

A number is picked within a range and members guess it in the chat.

Settings: channel, lowest and highest number, attempts per member, time limit, a stop time with timezone, hint mode, automatic new rounds.

This or That

this-or-that

A poll with two options that members vote on.

Settings: channel, the hours it may post, a minimum cooldown between posts, randomising the minute, and your own option pairs.

Caption This

caption-this

An image is posted, members submit captions, and then everyone votes on them.

Settings: channel, how long submitting stays open, how long voting stays open, and how many captions one member may submit. Images are managed on the module page.

Word Chain

word-chain

Each word has to start with the last letter of the word before it. There is no command; the game lives entirely in its channel.

Settings: channel, whether the same member may go twice in a row, whether bots may join, case sensitivity, shortest and longest word, feedback reactions, and whether a mistake resets the chain.

Turning one on

01

Open the game

Find it under the Minigames hub in the Modules menu.

02

Switch it on and pick a channel

Without a channel the game has nowhere to run.

03

Adjust the settings and save

Use the save bar at the bottom of the page.

Warning

A game command refuses to run while its module is off or no channel is set, and says so.

Paying out

Every minigame can pay a server currency. Set it up on the Economy page: per game a base reward, a streak bonus, a win bonus and an optional daily cap. Counting is in that list too.

Commands

The leaderboard subcommands take an optional number of players.

Who may run these

Both /games and /quiz need Manage Server, including /quiz answer and /quiz suggest. Members take part in the channel itself, not through a command.

/games flag start | stop | leaderboard

Start a new flag round, stop the running one, or show the top players.

/games number start | stop | leaderboard

Start a new number round, stop the running one, or show the top guessers.

/games thisorthat post | leaderboard

Post a poll now, or show the most active voters.

/games caption leaderboard

Show the caption winners.

/quiz post | answer | suggest | list

Post a quiz question, answer the running one, suggest a question, or list the presets. Posting takes a preset ID or a custom question, plus the correct answer.
