Verification keeps new members out of your main channels until they pass your gate. Modora splits this into a clear stack: a role gate, optional identity checks, and Join Guard for raids and alts.
Open the Verification hub in your dashboard to enable and configure each piece without hunting separate modules.
Role gate
Pending + verified roles with channel access locked until verify completes.
Security Verify
Extra identity / web verification when you need stronger proof.
Join Guard
Anti-raid challenges, account age thresholds and alt detection on join.
Open Verification hub on your server
Enable Verification and set pending / verified roles
Optionally enable Security Verify for stronger checks
Enable Join Guard for raid and alt protection
Use the hub
Dashboard → your server → Verification hub. Enable Verification, Security Verify and Join Guard from one place.
- Give everyone a pending role on join that cannot see member channels.
- Grant the verified role only after a successful check, then remove pending.
- Combine with Join Guard account age and alt detector for raid-heavy servers.
Security Verify used to be a page of its own. It is now the Security tab on this same Verification page, and the old address redirects there.
What the tab saves is Join Guard's configuration, not a second gate standing next to it. The join challenge, account age, flood protection, the roles and the messages on this tab are the settings Join Guard uses.
Account age is 0 to 365 days. The challenge times out after 1 to 60 minutes and allows 1 to 10 attempts. Flood protection reacts to 1 to 100 joins per minute over a window of 1 to 60 minutes, and a lockdown lasts 1 to 1440 minutes.
Account and device checks
The tab offers Require a custom avatar, block incognito and browser fingerprinting. The avatar check runs the moment somebody joins. Incognito and the device fingerprint can only be read in a browser, so they run on the verification page and need Web verification to be on.
Warning
Filters that would need to look up an IP address, so VPN, proxy, mobile data and country, are not offered. A bot never sees a member IP and nothing on the verification page looks one up either, so those switches would turn nobody away. Blocking disposable email is gone for the same reason: no step in verification asks for an email address. Settings saved earlier are still in the database, so they come back if a real IP service is ever connected.
